RESPONSIBILITIES
1.	Art Direction, review and consulting
Responsibilities
*	Provide best practice creative solutions to client-based e-solutions
design challenges
*	Lead design efforts of other team members in a collaborative team
setting
*	Work with client designers to jointly provide appropriate design
solutions
*	Collaborate with Mercer's User Centered Design team for produce
highly usable online solutions
1.	Planning, Organizing, and Implementing
Responsibilities
*	Pro-actively consult with eRC resources to identify and plan
appropriate project-specific methodologies.
*	Pro-actively develop, plan and communicate business statistics:
pricing, profitability, and staffing metrics.
*	Stay current on emerging and existing web technologies and their
impact on Interactive Design group operations.
*	Coordinate specific "best practices" training to e-Generalists and
e-Specialists.
1.	Functional group management
Responsibilities
*	Coordinating with eRC leadership and Office Practice Leaders,
provide appropriate business strategy and direction to the Interactive
Design group.
*	Coordinating with William M. Mercer and Marsh & McLennan
offices/divisions, provide appropriate business strategy and coordination to
meet client needs.
*	Ensure efficient use of Interactive Design resources; allocating
work across Interactive Design group resources to ensure a level workload.
Identify and manage outsource vendor relationships.
*	Promote the growth of the Design Group through client meetings and
responses to Requests for Proposals.
*	Plan, manage, and promote the professional and career development of
each member of the Interactive Design group.
*	Serve as a resource to Office Practice Leaders and e-Communication
Specialists.
*	Provide first-line coordination/initiation of all Design Group
resource management actions: hiring, promotions, etc.
*	Recommend capital expenditures for Interactive Design group.

Minimum Job Requirements
*	4-year BS degree in computer or design field; MBA is a strong plus
*	2+ years managing an interactive design group.
*	Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
*	Ability to communicate features/functions of standard web
technologies.
*	Willing to re-locate to one of the key eRC cities: Boston, ,
Washington, D.C, or San Francisco.
