Position Title: Interface Designer

                                QRC is dedicated to producing dynamic Web
sites and
                                Web-based database applications that are
user-focused,
                                intuitive, and fulfill the needs of our
clients. We are looking for
                                an Interface Designer to strengthen our
team.

                                The Interface Designer will:

                                  =AD  design functional, usable, and
attractive Web interfaces
                                  =AD  produce both high-level interface
prototypes and detailed
                                graphic designs
                                  =AD  help clarify client requirements
                                  =AD  communicate principles of effective
user interface design
                                to internal managers and outside clients
                                  =AD  develop highly-customized
information architecture
                                  =AD  work closely with QRC managers and
usability, design, and
                                development staff
                                  =AD  provide Web usability and
accessibility expertise to clients
                                and QRC staff

                                This position requires:

                                  =AD  at least two years' experience with
information
                                architecture, interface design, and
HCI/usability
                                  =AD  familiarity with Section 508 and the
WAI Web Content
                                Accessibility Guidelines
                                  =AD  ability to hand-code HTML
                                  =AD  familiarity with ColdFusion,
JavaScript, DHTML, and XML
                                  =AD  working knowledge of Visio,
Photoshop, Fireworks,
                                Illustrator, and MS Office
                                  =AD  excellent visualization and
problem-solving skills
                                  =AD  strong presentation, client
relation, and communication
                                skills
                                  =AD  knowledge of industry developments
and emerging
                                technologies

                                The ideal candidate will:

                                  =AD  have basic understanding of
server-side programming and
                                database design
                                  =AD  develop methodologies for testing
the user experience
                                  =AD  perform evaluations (heuristic,
etc.) of existing Web sites
                                  =AD  promote usability and accessibility
to clients and QRC staff
