Dear web graphics designers of the world,

The Durham Earth Day Festival, the largest Earth Day Festival in the
Triangle, seeks a pro bono web graphics designer to help us spruce up
our web site.

I've done the web site for the last two years (see
http://ecoaccess.org/earthday/durham/), but this year I'm looking for
help from someone with more artistic skill to create a nicer looking
site for the Festival.

If you are a skilled web graphics designer interested in getting your
name out to thousands of people in the Research Triangle Park area
of North Carolina, you may be interested in this opportunity.

Job Description

What We need web graphics and page templates for a web site that will
promote the 2002 Durham Earth Day Festival.
When By March 1, 2002, or as soon thereafter as possible. The Festival
       is Saturday, April 20.
How Graphics and page templates should be posted to your own web
site; we will download them from there and pour in our own
content to be published on the ecoaccess.org web site.

Compensation

This is a pro bono job (i.e., we have no budget to pay for a web
graphics designer, but we can offer our undying gratitude and a
modicum of fame). The selected designer(s) will receive a credit link
on the bottom of each page of the web site, and will be listed among
the Festival's sponsors.

How to Apply for the Job

Send an e-mail containing the following information:

  1) Your name, phone number where you may be reached, and best times
     to call.
  2) A live link to at least one example of your original work.
  3) One sentence explaining why you'd like the job.

You must be available to start on this project immediately. Our goal is
to have the improved graphics on our site by March 1. Your job will be
to figure out the overall look and feel, colors, navigation theme,
and page layout; and to deliver page templates with icons and graphics.
I'll handle the HTML mark up once I receive the page templates
and graphics from you.

Please direct all inquiries to Fred Wilson Horch, fhorch(at)ecoaccess.org,
(919) 949-7352.

Thanks for the bandwidth,
Fred
