Use GREP for Windows. It works great!

Subject: script
Does anyone know of a quick and dirty scripting language for DOS that
would enable me to change a line in some property files ...
ie. change = black/white to XXXX.PHOTO_COLOR = black/white
recursively through many folders ...
On Unix I could use SED but what can I use on a PC ?
