I always thought that they were just power point transitions that M$ had
built in to IE because they were just lying around. But I could be wrong.

Subject: Strange HTTP header

| A friend just asked me to figure out how to do an effect he saw on
| <http://www.dragonmount.com/. When you open it in IE and click on one of
| the links, the old page does a fade into the new one. At first I thought
| it was some JavaScript. Then I saw the following:
|
| <meta http-equiv="Page-Exit" content="blendTrans(Duration=4.0)">
|
| I immediately distrust this since it seems to be an IE only effect (and
| rather cheesy at that). I found an informative article at:
|
| http://www.inquiry.com/techtips/web_pro/10min/10min0200/10min0200.asp
|
| One thing it doesn't say is who came up with this stuff. So,... who came
| up with this stuff?
