For a while, I've heard Python touted as a language that is less mature than
Perl but more object oriented. The author of the URL below honestly admits
that his limited Python experience restricts the scope and precision of his
evaluations. I wonder if anyone on this list has a better balance of Perl
and Python which enables them to comment more effectively. I have no Python
experience but ample Perl and DBI experience. Anyone used Zope and have
opinions to put forth on it from a programmer's (as opposed to an
application user) perspective? We usually troubleshoot specific scripts on
this list, but I'd be really fascinated to discuss the larger architectural
and performance issues that a Python-Perl comparison might bring out.
