Re: linking a laptop to pc

Well, direct connections between two PCs do not just have to be on the COM
ports.  In Microsoft's world, you can also use the parallel port.  I know it
sounds weird, but it is true.  That might be the problem.  Or you may not
have a Null Modem adapter.  HTH
