issue, should it? In any case I'm trying it using the
exact same From: header that it ultimately uses, just
for the sake of argument.

I think it's harmless, and if it were a syntax error
Perl would let me know about it. (I've actually seen
the gratuitous comma technique recommended to help you
avoid a missing comma after the penultimate hash entry
if you later decide to add another.)
But for the sake of argument, I'm trying it without
(what have I got to lose?)
As for Lyle's comment about the blank linke between
headers & body, I thought of that and tried it, no
dice.
