Hi, I'm making a new window that's supposed to have all the features:
void
window.open('http://www.scanalytics.com/product/download/index.html','frank','directories,location,menubar,resizable,scrollbars,status,toolbar');
return true;
The problem is this: despite including "directories" as one of the
features, the bar of favorites (links) doesn't appear in new IE windows
made with this script. By contrast, that bar does appear in new
Netscape windows.
In this case, I'm testing with IE 5.1/Mac and NN 4.79/Mac.
I know IE is somewhat buggy with respect to features (if you don't
include any features, it should make a whole and complete window.
Instead, it makes a resizable, scrollable window without toolbar,
menubar, or location bar). However, I'm hoping someone here will find a
mistake I've made, or suggest some other way of getting IE to behave.
TIA,
c
