Our development group is evaluating ASP vs. ColdFusion for getting data
from our Sybase table to the web. We feel we can work with either product,
but feel more comfortable with ASP as the developers have VB backgrounds.
Management, on the other hand, is hot for Cold Fusion. There have been some
rumblings from the admin group about ASP security holes, but we're unsure
if this is just on IIS or ASP in general. We're running on a Unix box and
were looking at something like ChiliSoft to handle the ASP.
We've been trying to find an impartial comparison of the Cold Fusion and
ASP, but have had not luck finding articles contrasting current versions.
Can anyone here give me either a pointer to such a comparison, or else just
your feelings on the topic?
TIA
