Need JavaScript Assistance

Hello everybody!

I wonder if someone can help me with a problem.

I'm using a scrolling script, that has to much room between the sections of 
text.  When the first one scrolls off, it's quite a bit of time between the 
next one comes up... leaving people to think there's nothing else coming.

Two questions:

1.  How can I slow the scroll down; and
2.  How can I shorten the empty space between the announcements?
