I've run into problems in the past with absolutely position div's losing
their width setting and displaying the text in a single vertical line. I
don't recall the specific circumstances but I'm pretty sure it was with
Netscape. Placing the text in a table set to the desired width fixed the
problem.

**When you change the text, if you rewrite the entire table (ie.
innerHTML="<table><tr><td>...</td></tr></table>&nbsp;";) The table will not
display properly in Explorer 5 for Mac unless you have at least one
character included after the table such as a non breaking space. I don't
think there is a problem with changing just the text with the table cell,
but I'm not sure.
