I use a mixture of Account security (allow anonymous or not), directory
security (allow IP/domain or not) and NTFS permissions to control what they
can do when they get there. These won't override whatever you set on home
directory as regards read or write, but can add restrictions on a writeable
directory. If users logon as an existing NT user and there is a subdir of
the FTP home with the same name as their username, they will be placed there
automatically (what you'd expect really), so you can give them different
NTFS permissions there from those on the rest of the FTP site.
