More like <40g as a k is 1024 bytes.

But that aside, you don't care about spikes. You are worried about
averages. So you don't really want to do throttling, just let it rip and
see what happens. Cann't your current Co-Loc host provide some stats on
bandwidth now?

Otherwise, think of backups/redundancy. What happens when your T1 goes
down? What happens during an extended power outage(after UPS's are
exhausted)? What is the OS of your server and how are you going to handle
security? (you will be able to do a better job as you can do more with your
own router. You can add ACL's to the router and increase security very
easily.)

Lot's of questions. I will help where I can as I am doing this now. I have
a T1 for my primary connection and use ISDN for backup connectivity right
now. I have a 13kw generator installed now for power backup.(auto start and
auto transfer). All servers are Linux and running mirrored IDE drives and
dual PS's and tape backups. I have a standby router and CSU/DSU(external)
on site.

Thinking about your orginal question and bandwidth, are any of your
customers running any streaming content? Get a couple of users downloading
streaming content and your availible bandwidth shrinks real fast! That's
probably the biggest downside to your plans.
