Ditto on Red Hat. As you wish to do, I run it on my home development server
over Apache. My 4 Windows work stations might crash and burn occasionally,
but my server stays UP and my saved vs. lost crash ratio has gone up
considerably <g>.

Since it's also the flavor that most Linux OS hosts seem to prefer, I know
that my apps will work before they hit prime time.

Regarding the Linux shows and such, they're ALL OVER, along with support
groups (both local and virtual). One big one, Atlanta (Georgia, USA) Linux
Showcase is next month and I'll push the envelope and plug our scripting
engine, as we're presenting a report on the project there. <duck>

Red Hat. It rocks.
