Hi Fellow Members

I don't actually run my own server but I think this is a server type
question.  I run a webring on my site and use the smtp option as my own
server doesn't run sendmail with out restrictions.  So I have been asked to
set this same cgi up on someone else's site who also doesn't run their own
server nor does the server have sendmail.  Not a problem I said.  We can use
smtp but the smtp server they gave me is a number and mine was
smtp.oneandone.co.uk theirs just gives an error.  I have been on to their
server manager and he says the number is correct.  Does anyone know if I
should be using a name or not.  And is there a special way to define the
smtp.  I have tried several variations using smtp and leaving it out also
using the site name too but none work.  The allow the adding of the ring in
the documentation but no email is sent and a page error is brought up.

Any offers on this will be looked on kindly.
