We have a mysterious problem where files on an NT (v4, sp6a)
seem to be reverting themselves - undoing our edits to them.
We haven't yet discerned a pattern as to when files are undone and
when they are not. But this poor machine is running all kindsa stuff
(IIS, ColdFusion, SQL server, 3rd party FTP server "Serv-U") altho'
it's got *pullenty* of CPU and memory to spare.
My best guess is that something is keeping files open and despite changes
made to them, the open file gets written back to disk upon, say, reboot.
Ideas?
