I hope POP3 isn't too OT?
I'm accessing somebody else's POP3 server via Netscape mail.
The server hosts many domains, so it's requiring the full
Email address (username@FQDN) as the User Name.
However, unlike Outlook, Netscape (v4.7) strips off
everything from the "@" forward which is, you guessed it,
not sufficient for the mail server. The folks at the
server are, of course, blaming NetScape.
Are they right?
I went to RFC1725 and it's rather vague on what a
user "name" should look like. So maybe somebody
here has more detailed info?
