Hello List!

I'm looking for suggestions on a strategy for password protecting ftp
directories on a web server, UNIX platform. I am developing a web site for
a manufacturing firm, and their work involves the transfer of drawing files
from their customers to their engineering department. Presently, they are
using simple e-mail attachments to receive the files. I want to be able to
create a password protected directory for each customer so that they can
use ftp to transfer files to my client's company.

I'm familiar with doing this for web directories so that files can be
downloaded with the http protocol, but I've never tried to set up ftp
access for anyone. Can any of you either point me towards a good tutorial,
or offer suggestions on how to accomplish this?

TIA,

Michael
