Hi folks,
There has been a discussion or two about estimating shipping costs to charge customers, .. but we have a project to print the shipping LABELS for orders from the server! Obviously, this will require that we have the exact cost for the shipping method, as well as generate the proper label.
Can anyone recommend a solution that:
1) I easily updatable for USPS, UPS, FedX, and/or other future methods?
2) Has the label formats (for a label printer)?
3) Complies (hopefully guarantees compliance) with shipper regulations?
Here's the kicker; We need to do a label every second. I can produce the order labels fast enough, but getting accurate amounts is a stumper. Any direction would be greatly appreciated, .. ideally this will be a module we can run on the server (Perl??), as the system must be automated to tie in with the labels we're producing.
TIA,
Lee
