Hi,

I've used TCP/IP networks for many years but never really known or cared
how they work. However as I've been setting up my network at home, and
possibly at work in the near future, I'm now more interested in the
ins-and-outs of TCP/IP, routing, and so on.

I see O'Riely have at least on TCP/IP book "TCP/IP Network Administration",
is this worth looking at if your in an NT/Linux/Solaris environment (mostly
NT clients).

Which books are worth looking at, and are there any good web sites to cover
the basics of network design, hardware, and configuration.

Nothing ultra complex, just the basics of a simple routed network, and subnets.
