time frame for domain transfer??

A client of mine needs to transfer his domain name.  After registering it 
long ago, he changed his email address which happens to be the administrative 
contact on the file.  After a lot of headbanging and self-mutilation, I 
figure out how to get around this obsticle--send the request by fax.  But, 
it's now been 4 days since the fax was sent.

Any idea how long will Network Solutions usually takes in this scenario to 
get the domain transferred?  If you know of where or how I can contact NSI by 
phone for an update on it's progress, please pass on the info.
