Hi,
Maybe someone on this list can help me :-)
I'm using logrotate to (you've guessed it) rotate my log files. However,
before I rotate them, I want to execute the log analyzer. After some
research, I found that you could use a prerotate command. I've tried the
following, but it won't work. The log analyzer isn't executed, and the log
isn't rotated. Can someone please help?
/www/logs/zzz/transfer {
prerotate
/www/vhtdocs/zzz/cgi-bin/awstats.pl site=www.zzz.co.uk > stats.html
endscript
daily
}
I don't have telnet access to this server, only FTP :-(
Thanks,
Peter.
