Please anyone help me on this.
I've been at Microsoft's trying to decipher all that Server licenses and
client licenses thing.
I just can't understand it. :(
Maybe I'm just dumb, but I think they like to complicate things.
What exactly do I have to buy?
I want to buy Microsoft BackOffice for us here at EBONet. The software will
run on one server which will serve a network of about 30 workstations
running Windows 98. How many licenses do I have to buy, if any?
I understand that the software alone will cost me around $2,500. What are
Client Licenses exactly? What benefits will I have? On what do they differ
from Server Licenses?
I'm almost ashamed of asking this, but the fact it's that I don't understand
this licenses mechanism. Things changed a lot since my last NT Server
purchase two years ago.
TIA,
Mario Figueiredo
