Password Protection Software Recommendations?

Hello all...

I'm looking for some recommendations on password protection software that I
can use to protect pages and directories on a website.  I'm looking for
something that's going to be easy for my webhosting company to set up on our
site, and something that won't take a lot of effort to configure on my part
(I am not a programmer).  We tried AuthentiX by Flicks Software and it
seemed to work OK until the webhost moved from Win NT servers to Windows
2000 servers.  Then we had all sorts of trouble with the program and had to
pull it from use on our website after our webhost stopped supporting it.
