Vector Programs

Afternoon Everyone:

I'm looking for input relative to Vector software and trying to avoid DL'ing
the trial versions or going out-of-house on projects.

Anyone have recommendations as to graphics programs to use and their
learning curves, user-friendliness, effectiveness at creating various levels
of graphics for use on web pages, etc.?

Cost is not an issue *if* the program proves to be an asset.

Your input is greatly apprciated.
