Best OS for HTML authors. (Was: RE: software to change res. without restart.)

Ok, I'm aware that this can easily degrade in a flame war of some=20
sort. It may even be unappropriate, but I don't think so. (And if it=20
is, we'll be reminded).

Now, as I myself am an author, here's my point of view:

Linux rules, and here's why:

I can install Apache, and have full control over the environment, see=20
the thing out of a REAL webserver and see how it reacts. I can debug=20
my own server-side scripts and actually, get all of this FREE (which=20
fits quite nicely in a student's budget, ;P ).

But as this is a discussion list, I'd like to hear what YOU think=20
about the 'best OS' for HTML/Web developers.
