Yea I realize relevant or not, the list God's are going to crack the whip
on me for this.

Given my involvement in the whole long *^&'d string about WYSIWUG editors
and the need (or lack of need) for validation it seems right and proper to
post both a summary and some *suggestions* based on things learned during
this VERY relevant discussion.

<summary>
1: Standards *** DO *** require a DTD on the top line of an HTML file.
2: There are still *** NO *** WYSIWYG editors that generate VALID HTML.
3: Documents with no DTD and/or other errors (no matter how "minor") are
undependable and unpredictable _on the open Internet_.
4: Some folks care about #1 - #3 and some don't. If they are publishing
commercially or for public information they SHOULD care.
</summary>

<suggestions>
1: Research your demographics - Then publish accordingly.
2: Valid HTML is NEVER the wrong way to go unless you have no choice (the
customer is holding a gun to your head).
3: Avoid commercially produced HTML presentations on CD-ROM!
</suggestions>

That's it.
