Microsoft SQL vs. Oracle?

I'm getting ready to jump into a project and try not to drown.  I've
pretty well determined that Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle will both
serve my needs.  I'd really like some feedback here before committing
to one or the other.  Has anyone got any comments as to which may be
the better choice and why?  Thanks in advance.
