Active desktop woes

Greetings all,

I installed the active desktop from IE4 to check out some of the new
features.

Unfortunately, I hate "surfing" through my hard drive and would prefer to
view my folders as they used to be.  Right now, I am view them through IE,
which I don't care for at all.

How can I revert to the way it was before?

Will I lose the channel screen savers?

Will I lose the ability to put a web page on my desktop?

Perhaps this is a question for the IE4 newsgroup, but my gateway admins
won't allow newsgroup use 8-(
