I've noticed that Dreamweaver does *alter* code from BBEdit. It also *fixes* problems with closing tags, etc. So far this hasn't been a problem. The only major problem I've found is that some JPEG images have been hopelessly messed up. Thank heavens I had archived the originals first. All in all, I like Dreamweaver. It might work well as a cross-platform editor if all pages were originally created in Dreamweaver. I don't know Homesite. If it's strictly text-based, it may do the job. If you use it, you might want to try to turn off any built-in HTML code verification/correction in the program.
