Honestly, it's anything you want it to be, if you use classes. Try this:
a.color1: {color : your color here;}
a.color2: {color : your color here;}
then reference them like this:
<A HREF="foo.html" CLASS="COLOR1">
<A HREF="foo2.html" CLASS="COLOR2">
You can set up as many class descriptors as you'd like. You can also create
Visited, Hover and Visited:Hover attributes for each class.
