Fonts for Mac viewing

Hi,

I am sending this to the CSS list, since I always use CSS, although I think
it may be a general OS system difference question.

I have been using pt size to specify my text size in both internal and
external CSS files. I recently did a site that features bulleted lists with
the UL tag set for 8pt. On my 800x600 display, it is legible, as it seems to
be for everyone using a PC. The Mac people cannot see it. My CSS file is
ultra simple - just text properties. Apparently adjusting the font size on
the browser does not increase the font in the bulleted list.

The page is at http://www.wpeck.com if you want to see exactly what I am
talking about.

Somewhere, I read something about Mac rendering fonts smaller ... cannot
remember where. But what is the best way to solve this problem?

I could use relative font sizes, like 1, 2, etc. but I thought that was not
as predictable as fixed font size (again, cannot remember where I read
that).

I do know I see plenty of text out there at the small size, and the Mac
people who are having trouble with my pages say they do NOT run into this
problem all the time.

So .... does anyone know of a good tutorial on this issue? Any personal
experience about how best to set text properties for Mac viewing?

As a last resort, it would not be hard to have two CSS files, one for Mac,
one for PC, but my JavaScript knowledge is beginner only. Again, a tutorial
on redirecting to multiple CSS files would be wonderful.

Appreciate anything you can tell me on this.
