I don't understand what you're trying to point out. This is the HTML
from http://www.scanalytics.com/webtest/brokenlines.shtml:
<.td class="bgcolor1"><.img height="2" width="2"
src="/images/red_2x2.gif" alt=" "><./td>
and
<.td class="bgcolor1"><.img height="2" width="2"
src="/images/transp_2x2.gif" alt=" "><./td>
with tags broken for email purposes.
The image widths are set to "2" cuz they're only there to set the
cell's height. In the working page,
http://www.scanalytics.com/index.html, it's never been necessary to set
the images wider. The table cell *must* stretch across the page, and
it's always carried the background color all the way across. Well,
until I changed something-- but what?
Yes, the second image is transparent. The first image is red for
testing purposes.
Finally, I don't understand where you got the HTML you're quoting. It
doesn't match what I uploaded at all.
Thanks for your help,
complex
