<font size=3D3>There has been an ongoing argument on what to use for a long
time. And, as you have seen from this list, there are those from
both sides that will perk up and defend their flag. <br><br>
I think the main argument is between px and a couple of relative
measurements (like ems and percentages). I think most will agree
that pt or the keywords (e.g. x-small, etc.) is not the way to go.
The use of pt is logical, because it's pretty much how fonts are measured
in client programs (like Word). But those documents are generally
destined for print. Using the other methods of measurement will
make your pages properly viewable by a larger audience. And that's
really the key... what is your audience? Maybe pt is the best
choice. But not usually.<br><br>
I know that there are occasions where px causes a few problems (mainly on
Macs I think), and someone has kinda already addressed that. But I
believe that the few times where px is not the best choice is still a
better scene than the larger issues that not using pixels presents.
I really enjoyed the article below. It was well-written and
extreeeeemely informative. And I agree, to have your pages properly
viewable to the largest audience, use px or nothing at all.<br><br>

the article but there's <br>
a part where she says <br><br>

text size in points..."<br><br>
Is there something wrong with doing this? How should text <br>
size be set? In ems?</font></blockquote></html>
