Flash variable limits?

I am using Flash 4 and am having trouble with long blocks of text. I can
successfully get around 1200-1300 characters to work in one variable, but
going above that gives me a page not found error.
Is this a limitation of Flash variables? Where can I find out the Flash
variable limitations?
