You can use either of the following:

window.close();
self.close();

or if you want the opener window to close the new window then you need
to have the window referenced as an object (defined in the opener window
code).

e.g. PopupWindow.close();

Subject: Close Window Button

Simple question: How do you create a button that will close a browser
window that has been opened by a link on home page of a web site?
