Well I don't know how good other email programs contact lists are (I do
know that Eudora's isn't that great) but Outlook has a very powerful
contact list that can be further customized. People will say don't use
it, it's too risky but if you use it right you shouldn't have a problem.
If you are really concerned then you could just use it to send email and
never actually receive email with it. Either way you get access to a
great contact list (with v-card ability as well).

As an alternative for someone who has 1200 contacts you should consider
using a properly organized database and either build an email
application to work with it (or find one that already does which I'm
sure there are tonnes available) or build a server-side-script based web
site that you can use to manage it all with. This is probably the best
alternative because it allows complete customization... however it is
the hardest solution (or at least most time consuming). Hope this helps.

Hello All,

I sort of new to this list. What is the best way to manage a mail list?

I have a small list of about 1200 email address most have names,
addresses
