Adrian,

The only way I know of to guarantee print output on multiple
systems/printers is to use a format that is intended for just that
purpose; PDF format.

Subject: printing a form

Hi,
A client wants a print-out form that visitors can complete and post to
them. A web based form isn't an option. Simple? I thought so. Except
that whatever I do the form won't print consistently on different
browsers with the end of the dotted lines alined perfectly down the
page, which is what the client is asking for.

I'm currently testing with Opera 5 and IE 5.5 on a PC.

I have two forms, but an example is at:

http://www.gn.apc.org/design/caw/final2/newform.htm

I've tried CSS (though I'm not too hot with it) and tables. Neither
worked for me.

I'm trying to avoid PDF or opeining in a Word document simply because
that's less convient for the user, but if that's the only way, I'll do
that.

Anyone any ideas?

TIA!

Best wishes,
Adrian Harris M.A.
