Hi!

I need some feedback from the group on this one: I've created a web page
for a university project by hand coding and I'm trying to justify in my
report not using FrontPage (or similar).  The page simply a means to an end;
it's a questionnaire which feeds results into a database.

The people reading the report probably won't have a clue about HTML and I
can see myself running up against the comment "Other people have managed
fine with FrontPage, why are you doing things the hard way?".

I'm arguing that hand coding is the only way to gain a good understanding of
the underlying HTML, and is therefore the only way to obtain the layout and
appearance required.

Do you think this argument is valid, and if so, will it be sufficient for a
non-technical (but academic) audience? Thanks for your help!
