i know a lot of professional web designers here kinda look down on people
who do WSYIWIG's and not much hand coding, especially if they don't know
how.

well, i am one of those people who don't hand code at all now and just use
dreamweaver. i know it is not the best web design technique around but it
does the job for me and that's all i really care about at this point.

but i am really bothered about those unwanted table codes of tansparent gifs
that appear when you convert from layer to table. i have tried eliminating
them by merging the table cells but usually they only mess up the whole
thing, expanding the tables and so on. and they also take time which i
don't have much as i do daily updates.

it site looks ok but when you open the source codes, you see all these table
codes and it is ugly and maybe shows the amateurish techniques i used. any
tips on how on a fail-safe way to clean table codes on dreamweaver?

thanks.
