I seem to be receiving each post up to 5 times each (really strange plus
annoying) and I don't normally, so I think there may be something wrong
with the list perhaps.

Hi Denise,
It sounds like you need some kind of database for your records. You can
either serve them dynamically or make pages from a desktop db.

Depending on your server you can use many different scripting languages
to
do the work dynamically. You can choose from PHP, Perl, ASP or Python.
IMO
PHP is easiest if you have an Apache or other *nix server, ASP if you
use a
MS server but they all can work well. There are a number of scripts at
http://hotscripts.com that might serve you both for creating the
database
and installing a search engine. Some require an actual database
serverlike
MySQL or MSSQL to be installed. Others will build build plain text or
XML
databases for you. This is fine for a low volume site. Pricing will vary
from free to very expensive but that isn't necessarily a direct
indication
of quality, more of how much technical support you can expect.

Another way to go is to build the contact db in Access or Filemaker then
use
a program like WebMerge to build a rollodex for you in everyday html. I
like
WebMerge for that kind of thing.
