I'm not sure about other companies, but in Canada you have to be Canadian to
have a domain.ca  To be specific, you have to be a federally incorporated
for-profit corporation or a federally incorporated non-profit corporation.
That last bit's taken straight from www.canadiandomain.com.  Hope that
helped....
