other peoples sites

   Hello,

I have a question --- well two questions and I need an answer to the first
before I can ask the second.

Is it ethically acceptable to ask about a web site that has been created by
somebody else. I came across a site that has a function which intrigues me
because I can not see how it works.

So with the lists permission I would like to post the url and ask if
somebody can tell me how this function is achieved.

Or alternatively is there somebody that would help me off list.
