Hello,

I have a rather open-ended question that I'm seeking some advice on...
forgive the lack of expertise here... not very experienced in online
database management.

I have a small educational consulting group as a client and they wish to
share a database among approximately 2-4 people. The DB is in MS Access.
I'm looking for a possible way for them to share the database with each
other (perhaps through our web server), *without placing the database into
HTML and creating a front-end.*

Another way of putting it, I know that MS Access can link to tables storing
the data. Is there a method of linking to a table stored on a web server?
That way both would work in MS Access itself and it would link to a table
storing the necessary information online? I am only vaguely familiar with
MySQL but I know that it can handle database information.

Only complicating matters, there are a mix of Macs and PCs. I know that MS
Access is cross-platform compatible, but I'm not sure how that affects what
I'm trying to accomplish.

In short, I really don't have a clue where to start. Any ideas would be
appreciated.
