Hi Dan,

I have had people OS request my services in the past. The main stumbling
block was how the client would pay for the work - in their currency or mine.
Also, who would wear the cost of exchanging the currency.

Another issue to consider is that the further away you are from your clients
(Norway is a _very_ long way from Australia!), the more difficult it is to
deal with issues as they arise (modifications to site work, meeting to
discuss the initial design parameters, etc).

This came up some time last year and the general consensus within this group
was - OK if you're game to take the risks, but leave it alone if you have
any concerns at all about being able to work without meeting your client.
Most clients, the group agreed, prefer to work with someone local.

Others can (and probably will) correct me if I am wrong.

As far as the fonts are concerned, the following links came up earlier this
month:

http://www.myfonts.com/Identafont/ or http://www.identifont.com/
The Font Pool http://www.fontpool.com/ apparently has a catalogue of
different fonts you might be able to use
www.fontorama.com

Check the archives (again?) and see what else comes up. (My apologies to the
original posters, jgarber(at)bestweb.net, Wendy Loveless Miller [wink(at)abts.net]
& Karin Ransdell, if I quoted in error).

Subject: Developing international web sites

I have no idea what issues I'll be facing when getting into this market
(international web development), but I'd like help figuring that out. Can
you point me to some helpful information?

Another issue is having the right alphabet installed on my computer. Any
leads for this Mac user?

++Dan
