OT- Email Importing

I have a client who is trying to move Microsoft Outlook Expres Email, from a
Windows 98 machine, onto a Windows 2000 machine, to Outlook Express.  We
have been unsuccessful in getting it to import or export properly.

Each time we ask it to import it, it gives us an error and says the program
is either running or some other lame excuse.

Is there and issue with email that is from a 98 machine going to a Win2000
machine?  I assumed it would import it.  Anyone have any experience with
this?
