Paul,

I presume your message about MS software was just an excuse to plug your
sites <G> But if I am supposed to take it seriously:

MS s/w isn't always or even often best-of-breed, but very few programs are
perfect and we all have personal and professional reasons for disliking or
liking them.

I also use s/w by Allaire (sadly swallowed by Macromedia), BradSoft, Corel,
JASC, Ulead, Nico Mak etc - but I have no idea what their ethical stance is.
Do you? It's only because Mr Gates is a public figure that we have any idea
what he gives his money to.

As for not buying software because of disagreeing with the personal or
political leanings of the principals, well, that would probably mean that
90% of people couldn't buy 90% of software for reasons of conscience! And
perhaps people in countries without a gun culture might prefer MS software
for that very reason?

Kind regards,

Lois Wakeman
