Satch,

An interesting point, and I think from personal experience and that of
colleagues that you are about right - the majority of small business sites
get monthly hits in the 100s or 1000s (certainly true of those I host). I
understand that you need about 8 simultaneous accesses (and this means
simultaneous, not within a second or two) to run into problems - and this is
statistically rather unlikely with the traffic you mention.

I use an Access d/b on lois.co.uk, and it's never been a problem. I'd be
delighted if I needed to upgrade to SQL server of course <G>
