css equivalent to valign???

Hello all,

Just a quicky can anyone tell me
the css eqivalent to VALIGN so
I can lift the text in a data cell to
the top of the cell?

Perhaps more importantly does 
anyone know a good online
quick reference for this sort
of thing?
